九十一年度由台灣省各縣市（政府）衛生局每月抽送蔬果檢體5件，分別送至本局及中、南、東各檢驗站，依行政院衛生署公告食品中殘留農藥檢驗方法－多重殘留分析法，進行79種農藥項目的檢驗。全省共抽驗1269件蔬果檢體，其中檢出不符規定者10件，佔0.8%。1035件蔬菜檢體中，不符規定者9件，佔0.9%，其中有機蔬菜11件，有1件檢出農藥殘留，但檢出量在殘留農藥安全容許量之內；234件水果檢體中，不符規定者1件，佔0.4%。10件不符規定蔬果檢體之原因分析，因超過容許量而不合格者有4件，規定不得檢出而檢出者有6件；對檢出不符規定者，地方衛生機關均已依食品衛生管理法處辦。

A survey for monitoring the pesticide residue in vegetables and fruits was conducted. One thousand two hundred and sixty-nine samples of vegetable and fruits were sampled from supermarkets and traditional markets by the local health bureaus in Taiwan. The samples were analyzed by using the multiple pesticide residue method in food, which was promulgated by the Department of Health to check for seventy-nine types of pesticide. Nine in 1035 (0.9%) vegetable samples and one in 234 (0.4%) fruit samples were found to contain pesticide residue which violated the regulation set by the Department of Health. The results also showed that one of the eleven organic vegetable samples contained pesticide residue, but the content was within the regulation tolerance limit. There were four samples with pesticide residue content higher than the tolerance limit, and six samples contained pesticide residue that were not allowed in vegetables and fruits. The local governments already made the punishment according to the Food Sanitation Law.
