中心靜脈壓、肺微血管契壓測量是加護病房護理人員經常執行的護理技術之一。而水平校準及歸零是壓力測量的重要步驟，水平校準不精確將出現測量偏誤，錯估壓力數值，可能誤導醫療決策。本創新是使用雷射水平儀取代傳統水平儀，雷射水平儀可以減少操作者間之視覺差異(parallax)，精準定位兩個參考點位置之水平面。測試資料顯示雷射水平儀具有精確性及實用性，縮短水平校準時間（26.0±5.75秒vs 62.0±27.16秒，p=.001），值得臨床推廣使用。

Central venous pressure (CVP) and pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) measurements are common nursing procedures in intensive care units. One of the most important technical considerations for accurate measurements of CVP and PCWP are appropriate leveling and zeroing of pressure transducers. Adequate measurements of CVP data are prerequisite for correct interpretation and appropriate management. This innovation is used of lasers level to replace conventional level to improve identify external reference and eliminate parallax error. These data indicate that the use of laser level with accuracy and practicality decreases the leveling time in measurement (26.0±5.75 vs 62.0±27.16 seconds, p=.001). Hence, laser level is considered worthy of clinical use.
