本論文將討論羅蘭巴特（Roland Barthes）在《S/Z》書中倡導的多元式文本閱讀與符號多義性的關聯，以及巴特在這樣的文本閱讀理論的闡述中所實踐的書寫閱讀概念。巴特從（S/Z）開始轉向，將結構式的符號意義開放為多元／多義性的符號指涉連結網。開放後的符號指涉系統因此成為閱讀文本的一個重要法則，於是閱讀不再侷限於傳統的詮釋窠臼，而是符號連結網的相互指涉。本文主要以巴特自創的五種暗碼（code）與語段（lexia）切割的閱讀方式，研究巴特提出的文本的多義性符號連結，並探討巴特如何運用符號指涉網來結合後結構語言符號觀念成為他的文本閱讀理論。最後則試圖經由擬寫來探討巴特如何將此概念在閱讀巴爾札克的短篇小說（薩拉辛）（＂Sarrasine＂）時，做充分但卻又相當個人化的詮釋與發展。
