禮物經濟不僅具有交換經濟的「唯物」屬性，更具有無法分割的「文化」與「道德」性。它象徵著富饒生活所延伸的一種文明現象，一種人情世故，一種互惠原則，一種流動的債務，更是一種權力與聲望的建立。社會學家牟斯對禮物與交換經濟的研究，可謂是當代禮物經濟論述的源頭。相較於牟斯所討論的傳統禮物經濟，德希達的禮物經濟則是一種不對等性、解構式、矛盾式及超越式的禮物經濟，試圖問題化「互惠原則」的禮物經濟。本文主要先以尼采的「主人道德」及「奴隸道德」，重探牟斯及泰斯塔「義務性」及「非義務性」道德的「禮物經濟」，以釐清泰斯塔及牟斯對禮物經濟認知的差異，再以「亞伯拉罕的矛盾」為軸心，將德希達的禮物經濟橫向置入於「禮物經濟」的論述體內，使其產生對話、播散、混血、重述或轉化的效應，以擴大對（上帝）禮物與交換經濟的探討。
