This study investigated the effects of Nor-grape 80, the polyphenol-rich feed additive from grape, on the growth performance and antioxidant activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and thiobarbituric acid-reactive substance (TBARS) of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. A control diet containing 1000 ppm vitamin E without dry grape extract and four other diets containing 50 (N50), 100 (N100), 150 (N150) and 200 ppm (N200) dry grape extract were formulated. Each aquarium with a total of 20 shrimp larvae, with the initial weight of 0.02g, was randomly assigned to one of three replicates of the five dietary treatments. The shrimp were fed at satiation three times daily for 8 weeks. The survival of shrimp fed with all the treatments was over 90%. The weight gain percentage (WG) of the shrimp larvae fed diets containing different levels of Nor-grape 80 was not significantly different. However, shrimp larvae fed diets containing 150 and 200 ppm Nor-grape 80 had significantly higher weight gain percentage than those fed the control diet. Furthermore, the feed conversion ratio (FCR) of shrimp fed with the diets containing Nor-grape 80 is lower than that of shrimp fed with the control diet. The SOD activity in shrimp fed with the control and N200 diets was significantly higher than that of shrimp fed with other treatment diets, whereas the TBARS activity of shrimp fed with N50 diet was significantly higher than that of shrimp fed with other treatment diets. It seems that the shrimp fed with the diets containing 150 and 200 ppm Nor-grape 80 have better growth performance than those fed with the diets containing 1000 ppm vitamin E without Nor-grape 80, while the increasing SOD and decreasing TBARS activities were detected with the increasing level of Nor-grape 80. |

本研究探討飼料中添加葡萄萃取物中的多酚,Nor-grape 80,對0.02g白蝦Litopenaeus vannamei成長和免疫的影響,四組實驗飼料含50(N50)、100(N100)、150(N150)和200(N200)ppm的乾葡萄萃取物與控制組(添加0.1%維他命E,不含葡萄萃取物),每一飼料隨機分配三重複的白蝦幼苗並且試驗八週,白蝦幼苗攝食含50、100、150和200ppm Nor-grape80的飼料增重率無顯著差異,然而,白蝦幼苗攝食含150和200ppm Nor-grape80的飼料之增重率顯著高於控制組飼料,白蝦幼苗攝食處理組飼料的FCR從2.15至2.62且攝食控制組飼料有最高的FCR,白蝦幼苗攝食處理組飼料活存率均在90%以上。白蝦幼苗攝食N50飼料的TBARS顯著高於其他處理組與控制組。白蝦幼苗攝食N200飼料較其他處理組飼料有顯著高的SOD,然而,白蝦幼苗攝食N50、N100和N150飼料的SOD無顯著差異。 |
