本文旨在建置行動地理資訊系統(行動GIS)應用於國小戶外鄉土地理教學,建置之系統能即時顯示與反應學習者所在的環境特徵並提供適合的學習內容,讓學習者能夠貼近學習場域的真實環境,迅速得知課程內容。本文亦針對不同認知風格的學生,探討其學習表現。教學實驗以臺北縣八里鄉某國小5年級學生3班爲研究對象,分別實驗組2、實驗組1和對照組。實驗組2進行戶外行動GIS教學,實驗組1進行教室內GIS教學,而對照組採用戶外傳統教學方式進行。實驗結束後,針對不同組別學生以及各組不同認知風格學生的學習成效進行資料分析。本研究發現,行動GIS教學較室內GIS教學及戶外傳統教學更能提升學習者的學習成就。認知風格爲場地獨立的學生在行動GIS教學之學習成就與室內GIS教學顯著優於戶外傳統教學。問卷調查結果也顯示行動GIS教學活動可有效提升國小五年級學童學習的意願。

英文摘要

This study aimed to construct a mobile GIS learning system and to apply it to the outdoor teaching activities for the course of Local Geography in elementary school. Mobile GIS, combined with GPS, immediately provides the suitable learning materials for learners. With this learning system, this study proposed to evaluate the effects of Local Geography Instruction. We also evaluated the achievement of students with different cognitive styles. Experiment samples were composed of three classes of fifth grades in one elementary school in Bali Township of Taipei County. The learners were divided into experimental group2, experimental group1 and control group. Experimental group2 used mobile GIS learning system; experimental group1 adopted the indoor GIS learning system; and control group underwent traditional outdoor learning activities. After the experiments, the learning effects of different learning methods and different cognitive styles were analyzed. According to the research results, the achievements of students of Local Geography using mobile GIS learning method were phenomenally better than those of students using indoor GIS learning method and traditional outdoor learning method. For students of the Field Independent cognitive style, mobile GIS learning method was more efficient than outdoor traditional learning method. The results of the questionnaire investigation also indicated that the mobile GIS learning method did improve the learning intention of students.
