草莓春香品種畦面以六種不同覆蓋材料覆蓋試驗結果,除反光白色非織物外,對五種主要雜草生長有抑制效果。土壤溫度、覆蓋物表面溫度及土壤水分,處理間差異顯著,覆蓋有調節土壤溫度效果。不同覆蓋材料對植株生育、採收期、果實産量等無顯著影響,但大小果實比例則受覆蓋物表面溫度影響。加工果及總産量與雜草重量有顯著的負相關關係。

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of six soil mulches on the strawberry cultivar Harunoka. Four nonwoven material in different color i. e., gray, black, white and silver gray, and two different polyethylene sheet were used for mulching the soil after transplanting. All the treatments except the treatment with white nonwoven material effectively controlled the five main species of weeds including Chenopodium serotinum Linn., Stellaria aquatica (Linn) Scop., Capsella bursa-pastoris (Linn) Medic., Saliva anthemifolia R. Br., and Scirpus juncoides Roxb. There were differences in soil temperature and temperature on mulches' surface and moisture among the treatments. Soil mulching had the effect of adjusting soil temperature to the optimum range for root growth. No difference were noted in plant growth, fruit harvest time and yield of these treatments. However the percentage of fresh fruit was affected by the temperature of mulches surface. The processing fruit yield and the total yield were negatively correlated with weed weight significantly.
