Gamma Rays from Thermal Neutron Capture in 128Te

Thermal neutron capture gamma rays from 128Te have been measured by means of a 43 cm^3 Ge(Li) detector and a NaI(T1) scintillator. A great number of gamma rays has been identified belonging to the energy levels in 129I populated in the beta decay of 129Te from 128Te(n,r) reaction. The detailed decay scheme of 129I was constructed. Possible transitions between levels of 129I were given and discussed.
