Existence and Properties of Pseudostationary States of Damped Quantum Systems

We quantize damped systems which are based on the equation of motion x+γ(t)x+1/mα/αx V(x, t)=0, and find a sufficient condition onγand V for the existence of pseudostationary states. We then exhibit some remarkable properties of the pseudostationary states in several special cases, including a generalized virial theorem.
