Parity': An Overview and Status Report

The operation of parity and the breakdown of the associated invariance at the level of weak interactions, as well as some aspects of current interest are reviewed. In particular, I stress uses of parity nonconservation in electron scattering to test the standard model and in hadronic systems to elucidate the non-leptonic weak interaction and nucleon structure. Tests of parity nonconservation that have been and are being undertaken are also highlighted.
