Measurements of the Z0 resonance parameters at LEP have established the validity of the Standard Model to high precision. The high energy operation of LEP2 in 1996 allowed W pair production in e+ e- collisions for the first time providing a unique opportunity for detailed studies of W physics and stringent tests of the Standard Model. |
