Calorimetric measurements have been made on Ti.75Mo.25-base alloys with 1-4 at % dual solutes, Al-Ga, Al-Sn, or Ga-Sn. The non-transition-metals addition lowers the electronic heat capacity coefficient γ, but raises the Debye temperature as derived from the lattice heat capacity coefficient. Meanwhile, the superconducting transition temperature Tc is suppressed in all cases. These effects are all greater than that by Al as a single alloying element. Furthermore, the magnitude of the effect on γ increases from Al-Ga to Al-Sn to Ga-Sn, reflecting the trend of interaction strength between Ti and Al, Ga, or Sn as previously observed in electrical and mechanical properties of binary Ti alloys. Similar results prevail in Tc. |
