The Theory of Peak Effect in Type-Ⅱ Conventional and High-T(subscript c) Superconductors

We have developed a quantum theory of vortex dynamics and applied this theory to investigate the peak effect induced by the quasiorder-disorder phase transition for type-Ⅱ conventional and high-Tc superconductors. The critical current density is calculated by considering the balance of the Lorentz force and the collective pinning force due to the quenched disorder. The peak shapes as well as the peak positions are also evaluated. These are in good agreement with the experiments.
