For a holonomic mechanical system with variable mass, the definition of conformal invariance and its determining equation of Mei symmetry are provided under transformations by the infinitesimal one-parameter transformation group and infinitesimal generator vector. The system's corresponding conserved quantity is derived with the aid of a structure equation such that the gauge function satisfied. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results. |
