This study was a field trail which carried out at a commercial broiler and layer farm in order to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with probiotics fermented soybean meal (PFSM) on broiler performance and egg production as well as lipids concentration in serum. Each experiment involved two groups; the control group and the PFSM group. Results showed that dietary supplementation with PFSM could significantly improve the market weight, production index and reduce blood lipids level of broilers (p<0.05). With regard to layers, the PFSM group could improve egg production, egg quality and blood lipids level (p<0.05). However, the egg weight, egg shell ratio, and Haugh unit were not affected by PFSM supplementation. In conclusion, dietary supplement with PFSM has positive effects on both broiler performance and layer production. |
