英文摘要 |
The effects of microinjection of thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) into the hypothalamus on glucoregulation were assessed in rats under pentobarbital sodium anesthesia. Administration of TRH (1-40 μg in 1.0 μl volume) into the lateral hypothalamus, but not the ventromedial hypothalamus, caused an increase in blood glucose. The hyperglycemia in response to intrahypothalamic administration of TRH were greatly reduced in rats pretreated with spinal cord transaction (at C7), adrenectomy, vagotomy or atropinization. In addition, it was found that, as compared to that of the control animals, adrenectomized rats displayed a lower level of blood glucose, whereas vagotomized rats or rats with atropinization had a higher level of blood glucose. The data indicate that TRH may act through the control mechanism within the lateral hypothalamus to induce hyperglycemia by promoting an increase in the adrenal-sympathetic efferent activity and a decrease in the vagal tone. |
