中文摘要 |
The author made a self-designed psychosocial adjustment questionnaire survey, by mailing method in February 1983 to 294 outpatients with epilepties in various severity diagnosed at both Veterans General Hospital-Taipei (230 cases) and Veterans General Hospital-Taichung (64 cases) during April 1982 to January 1983, and evaluated what severity of psychosocial adjustmental difficulties they had. By one month 172 cases had sent back their questionnaire (response rate 65.6%).After analyzing all answers in each question, we revealed various severity of difficulties in psychosocial adjustments on more than half of these responders. The degree of deviation in social functionings and self-concept problems seemed to be highly correlated to the age at onset, educational years, present work status, result of electroencephalographic examination (EEG), and duration of epileptic disorders. The so-called ”social functioning and self-concept rating scale” comprized of seven items: work capability, learning capability, inferiority idea, 'queer' feeling, suicidal idea, disability idea and effect of future. There appeared to have highly satisfactory r value mutually each other among the six items except suicidal idea of social functioning & self-concept rating scale and total score of seven items (r value ranging from 0.4077 to 0.8365, p value < 0.0001). Therefore, they could be used as a tool of measurement about what degree in severity of difficulty in the psychosocial adjustment epileptic patients had.It was also noted that there had high correlationship between the total score of seven items of social functioning & self-concept rating scale and the age at onset, duration of epileptic disorder, educational years, current work status and result of electroencephalographic finding (EEG) of patient. |
