中文摘要

The traditional paper-based building traceability had problems such as difficulty in querying, retaining and maintaining. This study compared the differences in traditional building traceability among paper-based, database-based and implemented BIM-based ones. After literature review and expert interview, the necessary traceability items were confirmed in various phases of the building life-cycle and integrated to satisfy BIM data hierarchy. Then, a BIM-based traceability pattern was set up with parameters in the BIM model for a study case. Finally, this study implemented the BIM-based traceability and discussed its application. The purpose of building traceability is to encourage the builder to disclose construction quality and to require paying attention to quality assurance. This study was successful in assisting a builder to implement BIM-based building traceability, which created a new application for BIM and increased the values of the BIM model. This research methodology can be also applied to other builders.
