中文摘要 |
Icodextrin is an osmotic agent used as an alternative to glucose for peritoneal dialysis (PD). Cutaneous adverse effects due to icodextrin usage have been reported in the literature but are uncommon. In this study, we report two cases of maculopapular eruption associated with icodextrin usage and review reported cases of icodextrin-related cutaneous hypersensitivity. The results indicated that icodextrin-related cutaneous hypersensitivity occurred approximately 2 weeks after exposure to icodextrin. The influenced age ranges from 41 to 60 years. Most cases recovered within 2 weeks after icodextrin withdrawal. Although the safety and efficacy of icodextrin PD solution are well documented, clinicians should be mindful of the possibility of adverse cutaneous reactions to the icodextrin dialysate. |
