The ”Shangshu” learning transmission within the Huang family is an important component of the studies this family conducts. Huang Shi-san's ”Shangshuqimeng” represents his dedication to the ”Shangshu” study and his efforts on the education of the subsequent generations. Besides writing, he instructs both his son Hwang Yi-zhou and his nephew Huang Yi-gung in this learning since their childhood. Hwang Yi-gung writes the ”Shangshuqimengshu” to explicate the Huang family study of the ”Shanhshu”, and Huang Yi-zhou teaches what he has learned from his father to his two sons Huang Jia-chen and Huang Jia-dai as a part of family education. Similarly, the two distill the teachings into the ”Shanshujiangyi” for later generations. The ”Shangshuqimeng” and the ”Shanshujiangyi” are the achievements of the three generations in the Hwang family, recording the succession and development from Huang Shi-san to Huang Yi-zhou.
