本文以陳白沙「自然」、「自得」之思想特色為探討主題。 白沙因體悟得天道與人心之自然呈顯及自然發用,故欲以「勿忘勿助」之工夫歸反此心此理之自然澄澈,而於本體之發用上,務使此心此理能自然而應物。 白沙既強調此心此理之昭明朗現,是以其學主張「學貴自得」。白沙所謂「自得」之學,實涵蓋了二層意義,其一,為主體對於自我價值之追求;其二,強調主體本心與天道天理契合呈顯。 白沙體會到「鳶飛魚躍」乃天道自然而足,天理自然流行的自然氣象,其學貴於自得,以此心此理為依歸,而此心虛明靜一,能體認得天道之動靜流行與行止之所依,進而同於天道之自然,而臻自然自得之境界。 |
英文摘要 |
This paper revolves around what marked Chen Bai-sha’s ideas about “nature” and “practical reflection.” Comprehending the natural presence and natural function of the heavenly way and the human mind, Chen intended to return to the natural clearness of the mind-principle in an insistent and indeliberate way, while in terms of the function of the entity, he had to make mind-principle natural and responsive to the world. With an emphasis on the obvious clearness of the mind-principle, Chen’s doctrine advocated the “practical reflection as the key of learning.” His doctrine had two different meanings: first, the subject’s pursuit of self-worth, and second, the emphasis on the correspondence between the subject’s mind and the heaven’s principle. Chen understood that the vivacious activities of things are the achievements of the way of heaven and the principle of nature, of which learning is reliant on practical reflection and the mind-principle. While the mind is empty, present, still, and pure, seeing the rules by which the heavenly way moved and rested, further identifying with the nature of the heavenly way, and reaching the status of “the natural” and practical reflection. |
