筆者曾於去年三月，即《哲學與文化》卅一卷第三期中，發表〈多瑪斯哲學中「存在」的意義和重要性〉，全文共分五段，因篇幅之限制，只能刊出前三段。這一期開始刊出第四段，即多瑪斯在《亞裏斯多德形上學註》中有關存在的一些分析，共分七節：一、存有、存在與文體或基體；二、自立體包括存在（個體存在）和本質；三、首要義的自立體即個體存在，次要的自立即本質；四、元形元質和組合體；五、可感自立體與原質的關系；六、元形和元質之不同以及元質如何成為個體存在之原理；七、元形和元質的合一問題。

Last March, in UNIVERSITAS, No. 3, Vol. XXXI, the writer published a paper titled as ”The Meaning and Importance of Existence in Aquinas's Philosophy”. This article is divided into five parts while, due to the finite of space, only three of them were published. Now in this issue, the fourth part is published in seven sections: first, existence, existence and subject; second, substance, including existence (individual existence) and essence; third, the primary substance is individual existence, and the secondary substance is essence; fourth, form/matter and their composition; fifth, the relationship between sensible substance and form; sixth, the difference between form and matter, and how matter becomes the principle of individual existence; seventh, the unity of form and matter.
