馮友蘭與方東美皆留學美國,分別引用西方哲學的形上學詮解他們所共同推崇的老子形上學。馮友蘭認為西方哲學在形上學的研究方法上,使用邏輯分析、辨名析理的「正方法」。他覺察出中國形上學採取體驗之知,直覺之知的「負的方法」。方東美則採取柏克森、懷德海的機體論進路詮解老子形上學的各個層面對比兩人對形上學的詮解,本文舉出三項共同點和三項差異點,也突出他們對老子形上學視域和論點的不同。 |
英文摘要 |
Both Feng You-lan and Fang Thome studied in the States and applied western philosophies to Laoze's metaphysics, which they both highly valued. Feng saw the western scholarship of metaphysics as the "positive approach", employing logic and analysis, while Chinese metaphysics employed the "negative approach", focusing on experience and intuition. Fanag Thome, on the other hand, exploited Bergson and Whitehead's organism in his interpretation of Laoze. Comparing Feng's and Fang's interpretations about metaphysics, this article points out their similarities and differences, while focusing on their visions and perspectives about Laoze's metaphysics. |
