春秋時代的「軸心突破」有著兩種典型的理論進路:老子之「道的突破」以及孔子之「仁的醒覺」。出於對「王官之學」的失望之情,老子「反其道而行之」,不僅激烈批判了文化傳統與政治現實,更提出了超越商周之「帝」、「天」的「道」,在將宗教語境轉換為哲學語境的同時,也對宇宙、政治甚至人生展開了全新的闡釋與理解。與之相較,「好古」的孔子並不欲與「王官之學」一刀兩斷,而是試圖通過「靈根再植」的方式賦予「傳統」以全新的價值,而將「禮之本」、「德之基」、「政之源」統歸於「仁」,以此接續禮樂制度並重振周文精神。由此,老子與孔子正式拉開了氣象蓬勃、百慮殊途的「軸心時代」之帷幕。 |
英文摘要 |
There are two theoretical styles of the breakthrough of philosophy in the Spring and Autumn period in China: Laozi's "breakthrough of Dao" and Confucius' "awareness of Ren". Laozi was disappointed with the official academic of Xia, Shang and Zhou. He strongly criticized the cultural traditions and political realities, and raised the concept "Dao" beyond "Emperor" and "Heaven", which are the core concept of the Shang and Zhou Dynasty. In contrast, Confucius didn't want to make a clean break with the official academic, but tried to re-give "tradition" to a new value, which is what we call the "Ren". Thus, Laozi and Confucius opened the curtain of the "Axial Age" in China. |
