Our paper undertakes the research on the relation between the binary of faith: law and Gospel from a Christian studies perspective. The paper is divided into two main parts, the background of the issue (J.-M. Aubert) and a prospect towards a balanced understanding of the binary (author), the ideas of Thomas and John C. H. Wu on natural law will be treated. Christian tradition used to talk about the integration of the binary of faith at the end time of human history or eschatology, our paper proposes a new understanding of relationship: law and Gospel could be explained with the mode of existence to have (law) and to be (Gospel). Our idea is borrowed from E. Fromm and G. Marcel, where the influence of Meister Eckhart is read in the thought of the former.

本論文採用基督宗教研究觀點探討——法律與福音的關係；論文內容包括：法律與福音的問題背景（J.-M. Aubert），以及法律與福音的平衡觀點（作者），討論過程涉及多瑪斯與吳經熊對自然律的意見。傳統神學把法律與福音的整合集中在人類歷史的終點、在末世中完成，本文提出一個新的理解：法律與福音，兩者有如「存在模式」的「有」（法律）與「是」（福音）的關係。存在模式有弗萊姆（E. Fromm）與馬賽爾（G. Marcel）的思想源頭，弗萊姆之見又受到艾克哈大師（Meister Eckhart）思想的影響。
