歷來學者認為,程頤「體用一源」的命題與華嚴宗體用觀有很大淵源,然而華嚴宗的「體」與「用」有其固定的「平等」與「差別」之意涵,論者往往忽視此點。而從程頤與弟子的問答可知,他本人並不清楚這種體用意涵。論文認為,「體用一源」的命題並非來自華嚴宗,而是與王弼易學中的本末思想,以及二程兄弟形而上、形而下的構想有直接淵源。 |

Schoolers generally believe Cheng Yi's proposition that "the same source of substance (ti) and function (yong)" stem form the Huayan school, but neglect the fact that "ti" means equality and "yong" means the difference in the latter. The discussions between Cheng Yi and his students show us that he did not, in fact, know the unique meaning of the ti-yong system of the Huayan school. This paper draws the conclusion that Cheng's proposition came from Wang Bi's construction of root (ben) and terminal (mo), and the Cheng brothers' ideas of beyond the form and under the form. |
