歐利根的哲學神學受到柏拉圖的哲學的影響，而他的心智理論是他的知識論與意志學說的基礎，所以要討論後兩者，首先要先了解他的心智學說。本篇論文以柏拉圖的哲學開始逐步進入到歐利根的心智學說裡，並且以他的《論第一原理》為基礎，分別以以下兩部分來討論他的心智學說：第一部分是探討心智與基體的關係；第二部分是討論他的心智與意志的關係，藉此展現他的知識、意志與信仰的三格組合的關係。

Origen's philosophical theology has been impacted by Platonic philosophy, and his theory of mind is fundamental to his epistemology and doctrine of the will. It is essential to understand Origen's doctrine of mind before we discuss the latter two theories. This thesis begins with Plato's philosophy gradually processing into Origen's doctrine of mind; and it is based upon his work, On First Principles, to investigate his theory of mind respectively. The first section inquires into the relationship between the mind and hypostases; the second considers the association between the mind and the will, thereby showing the triple connection between knowledge, will and faith.
