A 34-year-old woman was a victim of epilepsy. Episodic genalized convulsions occurred at age of 18. Frequent episodic generalized convulsions with impaired consciousness for 3days was found by her mother. So he was sent to a neuro-logic hospital in Taiwan. Convulsions persisted and she was still uncomscious, so she was transferred to our hospital for further treatment on Nov. 6, 1994. Unfortunately, sudden onset deep comatous and all the brainstem reflexes wrer absent in the mornoingof Nov.8, She expired 22 days after admission. After autopsy, we confrmed the epilepsy focus with oligo-astrocytoma 2.0*1.0*0.8 cm in size)of right temporal lobe . the cause of death was status epileptoicus induced anoxic encephalopathy.
