尊托(Peter Zumthor)的建築作品乍看之下呈現出強烈的物質性:精準的細部工藝與結構工法,但在閱讀過他的設計論述之後,發現在材料構築性的表象背後,隱涵著建築師內在深層的理念,物質性的外在形式只是建築師尊托表達內在思維的工具,唯有透過尊托的設計論述,才會發現他企圖表達的建築內在精神。本文針對尊托的設計論述與作品間的關聯性進行分析,以實地觀察的三件作品作為分析案例;從設計論述中歸納四項建築議題:完整性、本質性、感官性、時間性,經由四項建築議題回溯設計論述與作品間的關聯性。首先探討設計論述與形式間的關聯性,配合現場體驗,分析設計理念如何透過具體形式得以呈現的問題,再比較分析三個案例在相同議題之間的差異性。經由這樣的分析可以發現,尊托在設計論述與作品間具有某種程度的一致性,而且作品中呈現出尋求建築本質性的內省特質。 |
英文摘要 |
The architectures of Peter Zumthor show the strong materiality-a presentation of precise details and structural engineering. Through reading Zumthor's discourse, we revealed his inner ideas concealing behind the surface. This article is a research of the relation between his discourses and works. The paper is composed of three parts: first a discussion of the relation between discourse and form; second an architectural experience of his works to discover how the design ideas were accomplished; and thirdly a comparison of his three cases within one theme to show the differences between them. In conclusion, we found a consistency between Zumthor's discourse and form, and an introspective character of his works for searching for the essence of architecture. |
