本研究主要探討設計之靈感機制中的「域外性」與「問題處境」之關係。研究方法上則採用之四個設計原案進行分析,並建立一個描述系統,對原案之設計問題、域外事件、及靈感想法之內容作深入的觀察與分析。研究結果顯示,1.設計問題不一定是形象問題,可能是意義問題或操作問題。2.設計問題在過程中處於變動的狀態,設計者會不斷地詮釋問題使其轉化,逐漸界定出關鍵的變項。3.域外事件與問題構成之間是雙向互動的影響關係,後者對前者具有誘發與評估的作用;而前者的發生則可能改變後者的內涵,甚或推翻之。4.靈感產生的「滿足感」與設計者對問題變項的「堅持度」成正比關係。

英文摘要

Inspiration in design is a kind of thinking different from logic inference and heuristics reasoning, and is named as ”design eureka”. This research aims to discover the detail mechanisms about the evolution of design problems and ”the exterritoriality” of design eureka. It is studied by following the previous research and establishes a new notation system for advanced protocol analysis. Some important results are revealed and explained. The results show two bi-reaction relationships between problems with eureka and with design intentions. It indicates particular faith in design where goes beyond problem-solving scope and nears a kind of art creation.
