全球消費者採用寬頻網路服務仍快速成長中,其中尤以非對稱數位用戶迴路(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line,ADSL)與有線電視寬頻上網為兩大主力。然消費者利用數據機撥接上網的比例仍高。可見寬頻接取服務提供者潛在的客戶為利用數據機撥接上網的消費者。因此本研究利用敘述性偏好法分析數據機撥接上網的消費者對寬頻服務需求特性的偏好。研究結果顯示影響窄頻用戶對使用網際網路上網的關鍵屬性有上傳速度、資料傳輸安全性、塞車情形與月租費,除此本研究並分析在不同情境策略下市佔率的變化。

英文摘要

Worldwide consumer adoption of broadband Internet services continues to grow very rapidly. Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) and cable operators and service providers will continue to remain the broadband Internet services market leaders. However, the remaining consumers still using standard dial-up connection are by far the most significant potential users of broadband. Therefore, this study uses the stated preference method to analyze narrowband service users' preferences for broadband service. The results indicate that the critical factors influencing narrowband users to choose Internet service types are, upload speed, data transmission safety, traffic jam and usage fees . In addition, this study estimates market shares under different scenario strategies.
