英文摘要 |
On spatial competition, Pal (1998) obtains equidistant location of a duopoly in a circular market with Cournot competition. However, Matsushima(2001) extends Pal (1998) to multiple firms (even number) and yields different location distribution. This paper explores the location of three firms under the same structure as Pal (1998). Our result is consistent with Pal (1998). That is, the firms will locate in an equidistant type. In addition, on spatial cooperation, this paper analyzes the location of three firms in which two firms cooperate by a plant proliferation type in competition with the other one. Our result shows that there is no location equilibrium under this setting. |
