The travel demands within a city can be regarded as the result of people trying to hold activities in different places under the constraints of time and space. This idea must be included in the analytical process, or the influences to individuals’ decisions and travel behavior due to time-space constraints could not be accounted for and could not support effective policy analysis when activity patterns change. This study sampled workers in metropolis Tainan and recorded a weekday travel-activity schedule by using an “activity diary survey”. Furthermore, the constraints of time and space were taken into account, and a two stage choice model based on travel-activity schedule was constructed. The result of the location choice models show it is the same that both “before work” and “after work”, “travel time” and “duration” both had significant effect on workers. “Available time” and “total travel time” also have significant effect on workers’ travel-activity pattern choice. After work, Workers also preferred travel-activity patterns with short “total travel time”.
