本研究著重於發展探查國中和國小六年級學生瞭解物質變化有關的概念與原理的紙筆測驗工具。研究過程歷經國外工具的改編、預試、預試資料的分析、簡短的面談、正式施測工具的編製與正式施測等步驟“正式施測樣本包括中區國小六年級到國三學生高、中、低程度的班級各一班,共約500人。 研究結果顯示用選擇題的方式可有效探查國小六年級到國中學生對於物質變化相關的迷思概念。而從其中也可找出學生在這方面比較常見的迷思概念。 文中最後對鈴診斷學生迷思概念紙筆測臉工具的發展及應用亦提出數項建議,供做設計後續研究之參考。

英文摘要

The main aim of this study was to develop a paper-and-pencil test for examining the understanding of concepts related to chemical changes by the sixth to ninth graders. Various steps were gone through during the entire study, including the translation and adaptation of a test instrument developed by LISP, its trial testing and the analysis of data collected, a brief interview that followed, and finally the construction of the desired multiple choice test instrument and its administration. The samples included twelve classes, each covering respectively high, intermediate, and low abilities students from the sixth grade to the ninth grade. The number of students tested was approximately 500 students in total. Results indicated that test items of multiple-choice type can be used effectively to investigate the misconceptions held by grade 6 to grade 9 students about chemical changes. Various commonly occurred misconceptions about chemical changes were identified from preliminary results obtained in this study. Suggestions regarding the development and application of paper-and-pencil tests for diagnosing students’ misconceptions were made at the end of this work, with the hope that they may be helpful for designing further studies in the same direction.
