一位25歲的女性病人，因為左眼疲勞及左耳間竭性的聽嘈音，來求醫就診。初診時，除了左眼較右眼突出3mm，左眼視神經盤有些微的充血外，其他眼部檢查都是正常。隨後，我們替她安排了眼部超音波，電腦斷層攝影，頸動脈血管攝影術，結果發現有兩側的頸動脈海綿竇瘻管。由於病人的臨狀症狀沒有明顯的惡化，同時目前也沒有任何的併發症，我們沒有給予手術治療，只做定期的追踪檢查。

A 25 year-old, female complained of left eye strain, and noises heard in the left ear occassionlly for 3 weeks. In the first visit, mild exophthalmos (od 16mm, O.S. = 19mm) and slightly blurred disc margin with some engorged capillaries was noted in the left eye. The other ophthalmic examinations were all within normal limit. In order to find out the cause of the problem, she received head CT scanning, orbital ultrasonography and carotid angiography. The results revealed bilateral carotid-cavernous fistulas. Because the symptoms of the patient were quiet stable, no obvious deterious signs were observed, she was regularly followed up at OPD without any surgical insterventions.
