本篇報告收集40位單眼視網膜剝離(Retinal detachment)的病人分別測量病眼及健康眼的淚液分泌。比較兩眼的淚液分泌發現病眼在基礎分泌(Basic secretion)及反射分泌(Reflex Secretion)上均較健康眼有意義的低。視覺訊號對於維持淚液的分泌扮演重要的角色。而視網膜剝離造成視覺訊號接收傳導的障碍，進而使得淚液分泌減少。

Forty cases of unilateral retinal detachment, measures both basic and reflex sercretion in affected and fellow eye. Compares its difference, we find tear secretion in affected eye has significant low than fellow eye. Retinal stimulation by light entering the eye deserves important consideration in tear secretion. Whatever retinal detachment abolish this stimulation and subsequently diminish tear secretion.
