本文介紹使用精純化的Botulinum A Toxin（濃度為0.05 microgram/vial），局部注射於三例眼瞼痙攣患者之眼瞼及眉毛數個特定的位置，來治療痙攣的情形。結果注射後數小時，患者即開始感覺痙攣程度的減低，藥效在第三天達到最高，之後繼續維持到一個月後接受第二次注射。局部除輕微瘀血外，並無特珠局部或全身性併發症發生。實為一可行之治療方法。

This paper presented the use of purified Botulinum A toxin for the treatment of three essential blepharospasm Chinese patients. The concentrstion was 0.05 micrograms per 140 units per vial. Totally 60 units was injected in to certain areas of lids and eyebrow of each patients. Those patients experienced the reliece of spasm few minutes after injection. Peak effect happened at the third day and persisted for about one month. No local or systemic complication was complained of.
