收集門診414位病人，825隻眼，對於非接觸型Topcon CT20眼壓計，進行其臨床評估： 結果，在可信度上，Topcon CT20眼壓計與Goldmann壓平式眼壓計比較，具有良好的線性關係，相關係數皆大於0.9，但在高眼壓的範圍，CT20眼壓計的測量值偏低，用在篩選青光眼病人的眼壓測量上，則其敏感度稍低。戴軟式隱型眼鏡時，若直接以CT20眼壓計量眼壓，則所得的結果，大部分比不戴時略高。CT20眼壓計雖不會直接傳遞淚液，造成感染，但噴氣造成淚液飛散，仍然有間接傳染的可能性存在。另外，約有一半的病人，接受CT20眼壓計測量之後，會發生輕微的角膜上皮脫落，這是本實驗唯一所觀察到的噴氣對角膜所造成的損害。病人對CT20眼壓計的接受程度，則與Goldmann壓平式眼壓計相接近。

A clinical evaluation of non-contact Topcon CT-20 Tonometer (CT-20) was performed to determine its reliability and efficacy. Measurements were attained randomly in 825 eyes of 414 glaucomatous and non-glaucomatous patients, and the Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) was chosen as comparison. Overall we found 62% of the CT-20 readings to be within ±2.5 mmHg of the Goldmann. applanation tonometer readings, and 75.44% to be within ±3.5 mmHg. There is a good correlation between the mean readings of the CT-20 and GAT. The correlation coefficients are all better than 0.90. However, the mean reading of CT-20 was lower than the mean reading of GAT, if the lop was elevated, their difference increased. This make it less reliable in screening glaucomatous patient. The linear regression analysis was done between the mean pressure of CT-20 and GAT. We also evaluated the accuracy of intraocular pressure measurement with Topcon CT-20 tonometer in the presence of the soft contact lens. Although the non-contact tonometer eliminates the need for corneal contact, but the spread of infection from indirect route is not impossible. The air-pulse make the tear of patient splash out, the contamination of the machine was especially metnioned. About half of the patients had the mild desquamation of corneal epithelium after received the measurement of Topcon CT-20 tonometer.
