MILLER FISHER氏症侯群的3個主要臨床特徵是兩眼對稱性眼肌麻痺，運動失調和深部肌腱反射消失。其臨床經過為急性發作，迅速惡化，卻在短期內完全地康復。本症似為好侵和腦神經之多發性神經炎的不尋常亞型，病人預後良好。若能早期確認診斷，可避免具危險性的特殊檢查。

Miller Fisher syndrome as a variant of Guillain-Barre' syndrome presents as triads: acute ophthalmoplegia, ataxia and areflexia. Its onset is acute, often preceded by flu-like illness. Sensory and motor deficits are mild. Rarely, fatal cases do occur., yet, Excellent prognosis with complete recovery is the rule. Early recognition of this syndrome may prevent unnecessary risky, invasive study performed.
