本研究旨在探究交通號誌讀秒器與機車路口違規事件之關聯性影響，繼而再比較讀秒器設置的差異性與違規事件的比較。為求研究結果之客觀性，而選以調查研究法來探究社會現象的一般常態，欲從研究中求得人們是否會因讀秒器形式的差異，而將心裡的意象反映在交通違規的具體行為上。在研究的過程中遴選出北、中、南六個城市來實地調查，也藉由結構式訪談來收集數據外的質性資料，並且從中比對城市型態與位居地點之變因對於交通違規的影響性。 由調查的結果發現，北部地區的違規比例顯著性的低於中部與南部；而加裝逆向讀秒器之路口違規比也明顯的低於正向讀秒與無讀秒器之路口，其中又以無讀秒器之路口違規概況最甚。

This study aims to investigate the relationship between time-reading order of traffic signal and interection-violation events. To conduct an objective research, the normal social behavior of human beings regarding traffic was investigated and the effect of mankind's stimulated intrinsic image of time-reading order of traffic sign on interection-violation events was verified. In this study, six representative cities were chosen as investigation locations and structural interviews were taken. After the interviews, the influence of variables of city type and location on traffic violation events was explored. According to the research finding, the violation rate in the northern area of Taiwan is much lower than that in the middle and southern areas. Meanwhile, this rate is lower for cross roads with the decreasing-second time reader than that with the increasing-second time reader. Finally, it shows that the most serious is the violation for cross roads without time readers.
