作為一種注重品質和服務流程的改善的工具,近年來精實六標準差吸引了相當多的關注。本研究目的在介紹精實六標準差於台灣TFT-LCD產業實際應用的個案,以DMAIC (定義、測量、分析、改進、控制) 各階段進行液晶模組 (LCM) 組裝過程的生產週期時間降低與效率之提升。改善結果從專案一開始時的平均組裝效率82.33%,經過6個月的改進行動後提高到87.22%。本研究提供了應用精實六標準差DMAIC方法進行深入的專案改善之實證分析,在精實六標準差方法的系統化應用上取得了顯著的改善成果。此精實六標準差個案是個案公司第一次進行生產效率的提升的專案,個案公司決定繼續執行相同類型的精實六標準差專案。本研究亦針對精實六標準差專案的一些具體特徵進行詳細的討論。

英文摘要

Lean Six Sigma has attracted considerable attention in recent years as a way to focus on both the quality and service improvement processes. The purpose of this paper is to present an application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology in the TFT-LCD industry in Taiwan. DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) phases are utilized to increase the efficiency rate of the liquid crystal module (LCM) assembly process by 70% from the baseline figures to its entitlement. At the beginning of this project, the average efficiency rate was 82.33%. After the improvement actions were implemented over a six-month period, the average efficiency rate increased to 87.22%. This research provides an in-depth business analysis of using the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC method. Significant improvements were achieved based on the systematic application of the Lean Six Sigma system. This LSS program was the first time that the case company had undertaken a formal improvement project for productivity improvement, and thus the case company decided to continue implementing the same type of projects using this methodology. Some specific characteristics of the LSS project are discussed in detail.
