本研究的目的是深入探討准父親於陪伴基配偶待産及生産過程的護理需求。研究者係以護理人員之身份，採參與觀察和深度訪談法收集資料。總共訪談了10位准父親，訪談的內容以錄音記錄，再寫成行爲過程記錄，以內容分析法分析、整理，且對准父親的護理需求這含義加以歸類及命名。 研究結果發現，准父親陪伴其配偶待産及生産過程之護理需求可歸納成：明確的訊息、醫護人好看態度、被瞭解和被接受、護理人員適時的陪伴及協助、進入生産室的彈性選擇權等五類。而本研究依陪伴待産及生産過程的變化，整體的呈現出准父親在不同時空定點中對護理人員之照顧需求，可做爲産科護理人員在提供以家庭爲中心的護理服務時之依據。

The main purpose of this study was to explore the nursing needs of expectant fathers whose wives were in the process of nOrmal spontaneous labor and delivery. During the course of labor and delivery, the first researcher served as a care-giver and nurse-participant observer, then conducted a one-hour in-depth interview 24 hours after delivery. The researcher wrote down as a narrative process recording from verbal and non verbal behavior expressed by these expectant fathers during interview. By means of content analysis, the verbal behavior of subjects was systematically analyzed and categorized. The results showed that the nursing needs of the expectant fathers during the labor and delivery course, could be inductively categorized as follows: Clear and definite information, appropriate attitude of care-givers, being understood and accepted, appropriate accompanying and timely help from care-givers, free choice of being present in the delivery room. This study was based on changes in various stages during the course of labor and delivery, and can accurately predict expectant fathers’nursing needs at various times. The results can be applied as references for nurses in their family-centered practical care to the expectant fathers.
