本研究目的旨在探討不孕症婦女於決定接受試管嬰兒治療時、胚胎植入時及獲知結果時，不同治療階段的心理社會反應高低並探討其重要影響因素。研究採縱貫式調查法，於86年10月至87年3月期間以中部某不孕症研究中心共140位不孕婦女爲對象，分別於試管嬰兒治療過程中之決定治療時、胚胎植入時及獲知結果時施以問卷測量。結果顯示：自我心像/自尊、罪惡感/責難、性問題及人際關係之心理社會反應在三個階段之平均值得分率均在中度偏高，憂鬰量表診斷類別爲中度憂鬱。不同治療階段之心理社會反應情形：性問題、人際關係之負向心理社會反應在決定治療時大於胚胎植入時及獲知結果時；特質焦慮及憂鬰反應在獲知結果時高於決定治療時及胚胎植入時。不同治療階段心理社會反應之重要影響因素包括年齡、社會階層、教育程度、治療次數及傳統生育觀念。本研究結果有助於護理人員了解接受試管嬰兒治療之不孕婦女在不同治療階段之心理社會反應情形及其重要影響因子，期能注意不孕婦女特質，並在適當電動機給予精神支持、諮商及衛教介入。

The purpose of this study was to determine the psychosocial responses of infertile women in different stages of in vitro fertilization/embryo transfer program. In this longitudinal study, from October1997 to March 1998, a total of 140 infertile women were asked by a structured questionnaire about psychosocial responses at different stages, such as when the decision to receive treatment was made; during the treatment period of embryo transfer; and when the women were initially aware of the fertility results. The results of the study showed that the mean scores of self-image/esteem, guilt/blame, sexuality, and interpersonal relationship for all three stages ranged from middle to high, whereas the mean scores of depression were classified as median depression level. At the stage when the decision to receive treatment was made, sexuality and interpersonal relationship appeared as the prominent psychosocial responses of these women. On the other hand, during the stage when these women became aware of the fertility results, trait anxiety and depression seemed to be the dominant psychosocial responses. The correlating factors to psychosocial responses for the different stages of treatment included age, social class, educational level, frequency of treatment received, and Chinese traditional childbearing attitudes. The results of this study will serve as references for nursing professionals to provide essential psychological support, counseling, and educational intervention in different stages of treatment.
