燃燒塔排放(Flaring)為化工產業中最攸關緊要的操作程序,燃燒塔之所以在化學工業中扮演重要的角色,是因為以設備保護或事業單位的角度來看,高空燃燒塔可提供:保護設備防止火災及爆炸事件發生、於製程不穩定時以排放避免產品汙染。但是以一般民眾的角度來看,過量的排放卻會造成對環境的衝擊以及產生負面的社會觀感,伴隨而來還有重大的經濟損失。本文就台灣中油公司所擁有兩座目前國內最舊(四輕)與最新(新三輕)輕油裂解廠,於開停俥時,對於燃燒塔排放減量方面所投入的改善研究與成果進行探討。

英文摘要

Flaring is a vital operation procedure of chemical industry. The flare serves an important role for chemical process industry which protects the equipment and environment to prevent severe explosion and product contamination during operation off-set. However, excessive flaring causes environmental and social negative impacts and results in a tremendous economic loss. This research disclosure two Naphtha Crackers (No. 4 and New No. 3 Ethylene Plant) of CPC, Taiwan's effort to minimize flaring during Start-up and Shut-down.
