消費文化來自消費但又不同於消費,面對的不只是社會和歷史的存在,而更是言語或符號的合理與合法性。本文探討消費文化旨在尋找其在歷史的地位,換言之,建立消費文化的歷史合法性。在歷史的價值建構中,合法、合理與合情代表著社會的接受程度。合情是個別同意的行為,合理是多數同意的行為,合法是全體同意的行為。合法是歷史的總目標它未必合情,也不必然合理,但卻是歷史的「真實」,這是歷史的病,也是社會的痛,更是個人的無奈,因此如何爭取合法成為歷史的現實資訊社會發達之後,消費擺脫了過去侷限於物品的範圍,符號成為重要的領域,文化產品受到重視。消費所指涉的意義由物質面入符號面,消費文化成為社會結構與活動的主要內容,它關係到社會關係的建立與社會地位的認定。本文撰述的目的在確定其在人類歷史的地位與意義。 |
英文摘要 |
The term of consumer culture hasn’t got much attention from historical researcher; because it is used as the meaning of waste. After World War II new productive machinery turn out goods to conform people tastes in consumption, which bring another meaning and makes me to rethink what it is . As we know, most historians judge the truth of events based on reason, but according to modern thought, it is not the only way for us to follow. We have to enlarge our view in judging events. There are three issues I want to mention in dealing with the truth, they are passion, reason and law. Consumer culture have got the first of the two and now to take the third one. Through insight study, we may find out it is not easy for consumer culture to get the lawful position in historical writing because we limited it as goods. Now we have go beyond and into language field, and find out new interpretation. Today people buy things not by necessity but by satisfying his desire which bring new tendency of consumption. |
