宋人筆記《邵氏聞見後錄》、《秀水閑居錄》中，記載了一段蘇轍、黃庭堅心生嫌隙的故事。蘇、黃都是文學史上的卓然名家，兩人與蘇軾諸友元祐年間共襄文會雅集，亦為人熟知，兩人有隙一事，因此顯得特別怪異。本文將這段筆記視為「傳聞」，展開下列兩個層次的論述：首先依據蘇黃集中第一手文獻，重建兩人交往史，具體檢覈「傳聞」之「失真」，亦即這段筆記並非反映其語言結構所試圖指向之「真實」，而是另具意義。此即後續第二層次的論述中，這段筆記乃反映元祐黨爭的若干面向：一是「黨派」優位的政治意識，二是「文藝」與「官職」的互斥性，三是「政治權力」介入「歷史敘述」。可見這段筆記不僅促使我們去談蘇黃個人交誼，何嘗不也是一種見微知著的觸媒，讓我們回返元祐朝堂，深體士人秉筆為文的艱難：「詩案」餘悸猶存，「史案」蘊蓄待發。黨爭之際「詩」、「史」何為？文字何為？本文只是提供一個拋磚引玉的思路。

The story which Su Che and Huang Ting-jian had suspicion to each other was recorded in Biji of Song Dynasty such as Shao-shih Wen-chien Hou-lu and Xiu-shui Xian-ju Lu. They are both literature-historical famous personages, and also participated conventions together with Su Shi and the other friends; therefore, their suspicion to each other sounds non-sense. The article has seemed the content of Biji as a hearsay and spread out the exposition from two aspects. First of all, according to the primary sources of Su and Huang, this article has restructured the truth of their relationship and inspected the distortion of the hearsay. The latter means that there is the other significance to this part of content instead of the reality which was tried to construct by language structure in Biji. Secondly, the Biji has revealed a few perspectives such as political consciousness of party superiority, mutual exclusion of art and official position, and historical description intervened by political authority. Consequently, the part of Biji is not only promoting us to talk about their relationship, but a straw showing which way the wind blows. Through the Biji, readers consider the writing difficulties-poetry crisis still lingering fear, historical case still waiting for actions-in Yuan-you period. During factional strife, what is ＂poetry＂ and ＂history＂? What is character? The article only provides a track of thought to intrigue the readers.
