不同直徑香樁插穗以4種不同扦插介質繁殖,探討各種介質對插穗於春季及夏季生育之影響。以粗河砂為扦插介質者,插穗之葉片數、複葉數及根數與插穗直徑之間有顯著性差異,其中1.0~2.0公分直徑之插穗最高,分別達到8.88片、22.85片及18.42條,根數則以直徑3.1~5.0公分之插穗最少,僅5.23條。以砂質壤土為扦插介質者,僅葉片數與插穗直徑大小有顯著性差異,其中以直徑3.1~5.0公分之插穗達8.67片最多,2.1~3.0公分插穗為5.62片最少。以田土為介質者,插穗之萌芽數、芽長、葉片數、根數及成活率皆與插穗直徑有顯著性差異,其中以直徑3.1~5公分插穗者,其芽數、芽長及成活率最高,分別達到1.47芽、4.3公分及47%;葉數及根數則以直徑1.0~2.0公分之插穗最高,分別達到7.17片及2.0條。夏季6~8份扦插香樁枝條,僅泥炭土為介質者插穗成活3株,成活率5%,餘皆無存活,顯示香樁扦插季節以春季3~5月份進行較佳。

英文摘要

The influence of media on the growth of Chinese mahogany (Cedrela sinensis Juss.) stem cuttings during March - May and June - August was investigated in this experiment. Three different size of Chinese mahogany stem cuttings were treated with different media such as peat-moss' crude sand, sand loam, and field soil. Results show that peat-moss, sand loam, and crude sand were optimum for induction of better sprout numbers, sprout length, paripinnate length, length of roots, and rooting percentages were greater than 40%. With the medium of field soil, the greater length of roots grew on stem cuttings was occured on 1.0-2.0 centimeter in diameter cuttings along with the most 3 rooting number during March - May. To treat with crude sand, the largest leaflet and most paripinnate numbers was observed in the diameter of 1.0-2.0 centimeter stem cuttings. It was obviously effective that sprout numbers and length were significantly variable between different diameters of stem cuttings in field soil medium. The rooting percentage of cuttings taken during June - August was observed in 5%, while only 3 cuttings successfully rooted.
