春石斛為具國際市場潛力之蘭科花卉，但目前臺灣仍缺乏新品種以穩固市場需求。新品種石斛蘭（春石斛）‘臺東1號－貓熊’係以傳統雜交技術育成，於2023年3月31日取得品種權（證號：品種權字第A02912號）。本品種翼瓣、上下萼瓣皆為圓形至卵圓形，花型外觀圓潤，且翼瓣除暈色外，內側具有點斑，為目前春石斛品種少見之特徵，具有高辨識度。臺灣氣候下自然花期集中於春季3至4月。本品種生長快速、氣候適應性佳，視覺效果特殊，具有相當市場潛力。

The nobile-type Dendrobium is a type of orchid in the family Orchidaceae with great potential in the international market. However, Taiwan currently lacks new varieties to meet market demands. Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station has utilized traditional hybridization techniques to develop a new Dendrobium cultivon called 'Taitung No.1-Panda' which was granted the plant variety rights on March 31, 2023 (Certificate No. A02912). This new variety exhibits round to ovate sepals and petals, giving it a smooth and rounded appearance. In addition, the color pattern of petel has shaded outer side and spotted inner side, making it a distinct characteristic rarely seen in commercial nobile-type Dendrobium varieties. This distinct feature enhances its recognizability. The natural flowering period for this variety in Taiwan is concentrated in spring, specifically during the months of March and April. It boasts rapid growth and excellent adaptability to the Taiwanese climate, making it visually captivating and holding considerable market potential.
