中文摘要 |
The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between active space and health-related physical fitness at primary schools in Anan area, Tainan, Taiwan. Hai-Dien and Chung-An primary schools were randomly selected as the sample schools in the study. Three hundred thirty-four fifth grade students were as the subjects. 115 were Hai-Dien (57 males, 58 females) and 119 were Chung-An (60 males, 59 females) students. The average active space for per student in Hai-Dien and Chung-An was 7 m2 and 22 m2, respectively. All of the subjects had to do the health-related fitness including BMI, sit and reach, standing boarding jump, one-min sit-up, and 800m run. Independent t-test was used to analyze the difference between two schools. Alpha level equaled to .05. The findings were as follows: 1.A significant higher score of BMI was found in Chung-An females than Hai-Dien. There was no difference between two schools' boys. This result indicated big active space girls were stronger than less active space girls. 2.A significant higher score of sit and reach was found in Chung-An boys than Hai-Dien. No difference was found between two schools' girls. This result showed that the more active space boys had better flexibility. 3.In standing jump, kids in Chung-An had higher scores than those in Hai-Dien. This showed that more space kids had better power. 4.In one-min sit-up, kids in Chung-An performed better than that of Hai-Dien. This showed that more active sapce kids had better muscular endurance. 5.A significant higher score of 800m run was found in Chung-An boys than that of Hai-Dien. No difference was found between two schools' girls. This result was indicated more active space boys had better cardiovascular endurance. Based on the findings, we found that the larger active space, the better health-related fitness. Therefore, if a new school will be founded in the future, the active space should be considered, which is a better way of promoting the program of health-related fitness. |
