媒體體育運動內容中呈現的性別差異情形

女性參與體育運動的過程，長久以來一直都是處於弱勢，她們遭受到參與機會的被剝奪或受到嚴重波視等種種不平等的對待。雖然近年來人們致力於改善男女性別在參與體育運動的公平性，表面上雖已有大幅的改善，不過事實上還是潛藏著許多差異。本文藉由傳播媒體觀點來看體育運動中性別差異的情形，可以發現在報導量上男多於女，而在報導運動項目上則有「性別適合」的現象。另外從傳播媒體對體育運動的報導內容上也反應出不同性別特徵有差異、女性位居支持者的角色、女性被邊緣化及男性霸權的心態。要改善體育運動中性別差異的情形，筆者認為傳播媒體應付起更大的社會責任。
